Moru Community of Victoria Inc.
The Moru community of Victoria Incorporated was established in 2004 by the newly arrived Moru people in Australia (Victoria) from the Moru tribe from then Sudan, which is now South Sudan. The community was then registered with Consumer Affairs Victoria in 2007.
The objectives of this community are:
To pursue empowerment of Moru Community and create a harmonious environment for its members and to contribute towards resolving differences between members
To improve and facilitate avenues for integration of the members into the wider Australian Community
To promote and preserve our culture by organising cultural and social activities
To render assistance to the new arrivals
To promote the welfare of children, women, and the elderly
To support every Community member during times of need
